 This was the perfect friends to lovers! christianmeadow are everything I adore them.. and him being a surgeon and her a nurse and the medical references were just perfect.. Nothing beats the pining and comfort of best friends who know everything about each other and trust each other becoming lovers.. They were so domestic and just acted like a married couple just absolutely lovely. 
   “It’s beyond belief when someone can describe you better than you can explain yourself.”

“What you didn’t let me say earlier is that I am wildly, crazily, passionately in love with you. I don’t just love you. I live for you. I’m not saying it because you said it first. I’m telling you, I fell in love with you on a walk home from your school play. I fell harder during car rides and late-night talks. I found my soul mate over two decades of friendship. You’re the only woman I have ever and will ever love.”

💌Instead of being concerned, he pulls me in and laughs. “That’s okay. It’s served its purpose. I always hoped it would bring you to me in the future.” He takes the penny he proposed to me with and holds it out to me. “Do you want to make a wish?”

With the shake of my head, I say, “No. I don’t think I’ll be making any more wishes.”

“No?” He looks back at me, confused. 

“My wish came true. I wished for you.”

With a hand on his jaw, I tell him my secret. My one wish. “Every time. It was always you.”

4.5 this book is exactly why friends to lovers will always be the superior trope. christianmeadow are my favorite ship of this year so far <33 

tbh the book itself is more of a 3/5 while the ship is a definite 5/5 but i didn’t want to give this a full 5 stars (does this make sense ??) bc i feel like halfway through things slowed down with everything happening with meadow’s mom. like sawry but i didn’t care, i just wanted more of christian and meadow and it just seemed like we were getting more scenes about her mom than the actual main characters ??

anyway need like a bonus scene or smt in christian’s pov when they find out meadow’s pregnant i can’t get enough they’re my everythings 🫂
