This story was infuriating. But I suppose that's a good thing. There were plenty of times when I was so completely sucked into the happiness of the main character -Alex- that I could almost forget that bad things were coming for him. Almost. From the very start you can feel all the twists that Alex would suffer; you don't always see them coming and you don't necessarily know what they will be, but you can sense more tragedy is on its way. "Pressure" is the title of the book and that is exactly what you get- a small but constant pressure of bad gut-feelings that end in an explosive release. I was relieved to find a satisfying ending after all had happened, I think it ended in the best way that it could for the characters.
