If you are reading this for historical accuracy you are going to be disappointed. Those who want to read mountaineerings books should steer clear. But as a novel based on some facts, it is an enjoyable read/listen. I write this as someone who has read many books about mountains and Everest, many 20th Century history books, and other novels by Jeffrey Archer.

Of course, no-one is ever going to know the truth of the facts behind this story but some escapism never hurt anyone.
