The annual anthology by Cloudscape improves by leads and bounds every year. In 2014, the production values were up, resulting in a beautiful book with full colour pages and shiny, heavy paper. The theme, unsurprisingly, is people and animals. The stories are all short pieces, no more than ten pages. While this doesn't leave a lot of room for depth, most of the stories succeed in whatever tale they were trying to tell. The quality of the storytelling and art has consistently improved over the years. It's been wonderful to watch the development of some of Vancouver's local talent over the years. Additionally, the book can be shared with people of all ages, so don't be afraid to pick this one up for the kids and adults in your life!
