Eli's Triumph, a Reapers MC Novella, is the story of Eli and Peaches. When Peaches was 5 years old, she and her mother moved in with Gus. Peaches was happy until Gus's 7 year old nephew, Eli, moved in with them. Peaches was jealous of the attention that Gus gave Eli, so she tormented Eli with snakes in his bed among other things. As they grew older, their fights turned into something more like attraction until the night that Eli went to prison for murder. Five years later, with his conviction overturned, Eli is back, and he wants to continue what they started before he went to prison, but Peaches hasn't worked through her anger at Eli and the animosity between them has raised to a whole new level.
Although short, this story is a fun, quick read tracing the relationship between the two main characters. Peaches' reactions to her anger are hilarious and Eli's story tugs at the heartstrings. If this story had been longer, there could have been more about Peaches, her mother, and the heartbreak of their lives with Gus, but overall this was an enjoyable read.
