Maybe a 4.5 - This book was my way of learning more about this unfortunate event and I think that it was a great read! When I went to the Holocaust Museum at Washington DC, I became aware of the big impact that this camp had on society at the time and currently, which made me feel downhearted. This book did an amazing job depicting the events without offending anyone that suffered as a result of this death camp. This was my first historical fiction read and it did not disappoint! I have more Auschwitz related books and I am so glad that this was the first book that I read because it introduces the beginning, middle, and end of WWII. I enjoyed this book and definitely do recommend.
