In this collection of erotic short stories, Joey Comeau once again shows that he’s one of the best contemporary short fiction writers, although a few of the stories here were a little too obtuse/vague/abstract (not sure which) for me. Even for him, this was a bunch of very sexually explicit stories, bordering on pornographic. There’s heterosexual sex with both male and female main characters and homosexual sex also with males and females, and perhaps a few too many stories about fetishes that are weird for weirdness’s sake. I was happy to see both mathematics and chess pop up, two hobbies I share with the author.
