This is not a "bird book" although birds feature strongly in the story. It is about the animals which live and die in Fonthill woods where the Peregrine Falcon is the villain and the animals the victims until they take their terrible revenge. A beautifully written book, exciting, compelling and hugely imaginative and original. A treat for an adult or child.
