Non-fiction book about Christopher McCandless, a young man from a well-to-do family who hitchhiked to Alaska and walked alone into the wilderness north of Mt. McKinley. He gave away his savings to charity, abandoned his car and most of his possessions, and vanished into the wild. Four months later, his decomposed body was found by a hunter. How McCandless came to die is the story of this book.
