Found out about this book after watching the film from which it is adapted Sambizanga [1972](review on letterboxd: 

The anti colonial movement in Africa was expansive and internationalist, this novel is an example of this, the novel from an Angolan writer being adapted by Sarah Maldoror a Guadeloupean film maker who was also at the time working behind the scenes for the film “Battle of Algiers” the anticolonial film on war of independence in Algeria.

We need to get back to artists collaboration like this against empire.
