Ella Elephant is afraid of the dark. Her friends try to assuage Ella`s fears by pointing out all the things that make nighttime special, like tree frogs and stars. Then Ella finds her " very own star" - a pretty white pebble in the river - and, feeling comforted, takes it to bed with her. When her mother bids her goodnight, Ella is already fast asleep!
