If you are going to shit yourself, it's most likely to happen on your own doorstep. Just as your cat, as you carry it home from the vet, will suddenly grow violent inside its carrier - sensing its imminent freedom and the smells of a territory it fought many dirty battles over - so too will your bowels surrender the moment you can picture the comfort of a familiar toilet seat.

But perhaps some Germans were born with hiking boots? At least Wolf didn't wear sandals. Jimmie shuddered as he sat back down, hearing Wolf operate in his unfuckable mother tongue, wondering whether Germans really shouted ‚Ja’ when they tried to express affection.

But before Jimmie could say anything, Wolf had accepted another call, and it was simply impossible to judge the emotional state of someone who spoke German - everything he said sounded like an entire nation which had forgotten how to dream.
