The voice of Katy Evans was pretty strong in this book, and even though Womanizer wasn't my favorite book of hers I just fell in love with this book all the same. It was a bit different from what I have come to expect from her but I did enjoy it quite a bit here. What really appeals to me about Evan's writing is her dreamy heroes. They are so wonderful to read, sexy and hot but oh so devoted and loyal to the woman who are their match in every way. If you love a swoony hero....Katy Evans is the queen at writing them.

The Womanizer  starts off when our heroine has come to the windy city...Chicago for an internship. She is eager to get away from Texas for a short while. Her brother has helped her get a job with a prestigious company, his friend who is one of the biggest sharks who eats up companies and makes them his own. Livvy has dreams of her own, and she knows that working for Carma industries will help her gain the experience she needs to go out and help companies rebuild. She has no plans on meeting the big boss of the company Mr. Carmichael. He is known as a ladies man, a tycoon and never stays with one lady longer than one evening. She definitely has zero interest in a man like that. But while out on her downtime she sneaks off to the company's terrace for a breath of fresh air, and meets a man who is sexy as sin and they end up shooting the breeze and sharing a cigarette. Soon they slowly begin to form a friendship. But when Livvy learns the true identity of her secret sexy friend, will she be able to overcome her doubts about his past, and will they be able to find a future within the confines of the forbidden fruit that they build their relationship on?

What a whopping story and I have to say that I had a blast with this book. I swear Katy Evans is one of those authors I can always depend on for a good romance. I know that I will stay up all night reading her, because that is how she writes. I was really intrigued by this book. The whole forbidden romance is definitely my cup of tea. I don't want to spoil anything but the fall out is specatcular!! Definitely worth every pain staking moment of suspense wondering how the brother will react upon learning that his best friend and sister are together. The romance that develops between these two is so fantastic. They definitely have some strong chemistry, in fact its off the charts. But what I did like is that they start as friends a bit then with benefits which turns into more very quickly. I did find it wonderful to see how well these two fit together. They may seem pretty different from each other, and even though they have different goals. Callan likes the challenge of taking over companies, and Livvy wants to help companies when they get into trouble. They also see both sides of it and end up find a balance in each other.
