Kentaro miura you genius. He spent 30 years of his life creating this masterpiece. Rip. Even though the story is nowhere to complete, it's gripping. The characters are so good. It will traumatize you. But it will leave you something in you. An empty sad feeling yet the hope and courage to go after things out of love. You will scream at moments with rage and anger and jump yelling hell yeahh at times. It's a journey. It's something that teaches a lot of things. It is peak fiction. The art is oh god, it is so detailed and wild. You won't regret reading this for sure.

Disappointing. 
After such a good Golden Age arc, this childish party of adventures is just disappointing. A boy, a girl, two elves... why, just why?? It's not a horror brutal manga it was for the Golden Age. It's just some kind of teen-rated average story now. I have to force myself to continue reading it in the hope it will get better.

After a couple years of “yeah, I’ll get around to it” my brother bought me about half of the entire collection for my birthday. Figured no time like the new year to begin the journey.

The crux of it all is right in these pages. The reveal of who Griffith really is and the hold he has. Moments in the dark that shape Guts. And the foundation of our trio’s threads of connection.

This is when ‘Berserk’ is at its best. Griffith pulling strings in the dark, heart-to-hearts with Judeau, a duel between swordsman. The quiet moments really makes Miura’s writing shine the brightest!

An ultraviolent goth mess. But cleverer than the character design and proportion of action scenes suggest. Occasionally even refined; 3 or 4 stunning panels in this volume, with wonderful use of panning, impossible angles, abstract flat panels implying time passing.

All is corrupt. Politicians, priests, law, philosophy. Even the hero disclaims virtue! But then Miura lacks the conviction of his misanthropy: the corruption comes from extra-dimensional forces.

(PS: The cover art is much, much worse than the inks inside.)

I am not that big of a manga fan, but my friends really recommended this manga. I can see why, this is type of anime I usually watch. Hopefully I will continue to enjoy it.

Not alot happened during this one, but I'll wait on it and continue.

I discovered Berserk very late. Read all that was possible to read during several frenetic nights and weekends. Epic in all sense. The art, the story, the character arcs. 5/5. One detail though, it's not finished yet and doesn't seem even close to completion.
