When I got this book for Sinterklaas (a Dutch holiday) I was so excited! I loved the front and the back and just everything! It even had a built in bookmark, it just felt like some old but new book. And the cover was beautiful! 

So, Ruby Red is about Gwendolyn, who is part of a strange family, filled with secrets. Strange things seem to happen, for example, why is there always a man dressed in black across the street? And why are there hidden chambers in the house? Well, for Gwendolyn that's easy to explain, because her niece Charlotte is a soon-to-be time traveller!
But what if suddenly, not Charlotte goes back in time, but Gwendolyn herself?

Well, that was just a quick as spoiler free as possible outline of the story. If you haven't noticed yet, I loved it. For a starter, Gwendolyn was just a person who I would want to be friends with, she's amazing. The same for her best friend, Leslie. Also, Gideon, just the amazing hot badboy with a warm heart that the story needs! Should I go on? 

It was amazing, so, just read it!
