Could've been a fascinating story of the two main (well, I say "main", but what do we know of Kate other than how she's hot and wears nice clothes?) characters figuring out who they were and what their relationship could become … but it really didn't seem to make much of an effort to get there. It featured a handful of half-formed characters, trailed along multiple vaguely interesting but confused storylines, and then sort of petered out towards the end, with the climax squeezing itself in and then… nothing… really… resolving? In almost two hundred pages, I feel like the book never really manages to say anything. Which is a shame, considering it's potential.
