           My gods. I had this book in my shelf for YEARS. Seriously. I lent it to my sister, to my friend just because I didn’t felt like reading it yet. And I kinda regret that. I have SOOOOOOO many pages that were bookmarked and sentences/dialogues underlined because I just find a lot of these words important. So many moments that felt so important to me. It gave me paper towns and all the bright places vibes at the first chapters BUT OH BOY. I’m kinda happy it didn’t end like those because I’m kinda sick from reading similar endings and stuff. I LOVE HENRY PAGE SO MUCH because I see myself in him in the most littlest ways. I, too, loved someone so much that it had destroyed me every time we were together. It breaks my heart to see Henry be like that for Grace. I got frustrated with Grace Town, too, because this girl has some serious issues and I HATE SEEING HENRY HURT LIKE THIS. 

Anyway, this book was super worth it. I can’t say I LOVE this book because it didn’t really break my heart that much, I WANT A BOOK THAT WOULD LITERALLY SHATTER ME.

Witty, dark, personal and truthful. This book has a little bit of all of it. A super quick YA read that genuinely made me laugh and shed a tear. Maybe even more important: VERY quotable. Loved it - can’t wait to see if the movie did it justice.

Maybe you already heard about the book "all the bright places" and in fact when I read it five years ago, my heart was reduce in little tiny pieces and no books until this days make me feel the same. Until Our chemical hearts. I've cried, laughed, and smiled all my reading, my heart is touched by all of his words. I can't really say why, but my heart cry right now, and I am thankfull for that, because I realized what I didn't realize yet. About love and all the scientifics facts. ( In fact I already known about, but my brain doesn't accepted this until now) I don't know how to talk about this book, but anyway, thank you, thank you for writing Our Chemical Hearts and thank you for writing A semi Definive list of nightmare Yours books are a light in my life now and i'm thankfull for that.

3.5 Stars. After reading House of Hollow, i expected this novel to be the same - but it wasn’t. What it was was an insight into the real kind of love teenagers experience and the real kind of heartbreak that comes with it.

I’m not sure if anybody felt this way but I had multiple chills when I read this book. The writing is wonderful. The characters are perfect. Extraordinary. Absolutely extraordinary. I’m really excited to watch the movie when it releases in August. Looking forward to reading the author’s second book.

Den ersten Stern bekommt dieses Buch für die vielen nerdigen Bemerkungen und Verweise auf Fandoms, die mir ebenfalls am Herzen liegen. Den Zweiten gab es für die Abbildung einer sehr witzigen PowerPoint. Den letzten hat mir Henry abgerungen. (Diese fiktiven Henrys werden langsam zu einer Schwäche von mir.) 
Grace konnte ich von Anfang an nicht leiden, unter anderem, weil sie absolut keine Wertschätzung für ihre Mitmenschen, deren Handlungen und ihre Umwelt zu haben schien. Die Handlung strotze vor Stereotypen, mit den 2 17-jährigen Helden, die doch schon so viel reifer und erwachsener sind, eine wunderbar traurige Liebesgeschichte voller vorhersehbare Plottwists haben und am Ende schöne Lehren aus ihrem Leben ziehen.
Meine letzte Anmerkung zu diesem Buch geht an die Cover-Designer: Wirklich?!

I really appreciate the witty and ironic banter and the writing style was clever and engaging.

Muy bien para ser sinceros pensé que había perdido el tiempo con éste libro, pero la verdad después de varias páginas finalmente lo entendí. No es una novela, no es una gran historia de amor, es una historia de la vida... Uno nunca sabe de quién se va a enamorar y aveces nos enamoramos de la idea que tenemos de la otra persona, no de la persona en sí. Pienso que este libro sí vale la pena leerlo porque como dice Krystal Sutherland, "el amor tiene consecuencias".

2.75 stars my final answer.
I really didn't enjoy this book that much, its a sad story and I can see how some may really enjoy it but I was just frustrated by both the main characters. It has insta love and I did not like it whatsoever. I was frustrated by Henry and his sudden obsession with Grace. I didn't understand where the intrigue was and why he needed to peruse her. I didn't like the way Grace strung him along knowing what she was doing and did it anyway. I get that Grace has been through a tragedy that I cannot even imagine but her life situation was so unique and awkward to read as Henry learned it and i felt so bad for him but i was just so mad at Grace. 
The ending did a nice job of talking about love and loss and Henry coming to terms with the relationship he had with Grace. I appreciated her finally talking to Henry and explaining everything to him and how he was there for her and didn't hate her. But I still cannot forgive what she did to him and I just felt bored and annoyed throughout the whole book. There's not much else I can say without giving away too many big plot points.

I know it's cliche to say it, but I think this book may have changed my life. It definitely caused a change in my soul. 

Sutherland's writing is so quirky and eye-catching, the way she writes things, the heart that goes into the words. It's well said, well thought. Relatable, OH SO relatable. Those of us who have loved, whether at the right or the wrong time, will always find a piece of themselves in this work.

I won't say the plot was the most surprising thing I've ever read. The "twists" were easily guessed. But they were exactly what this story needed. It needed all of it, to become this grand piece it now is. 

Henry is what I'd assume is a typical teenage boy. It's been 12+ years since I've spent any significant amount of time with one to know for sure, but he seems about right. And you can't help but relate to him on his level. We've all been through high school, falling for someone so hard you couldn't think straight. We've forgotten the things that were most important to us. There's this line about how he figures you can never truly know yourself until you've loved someone. It's so accurate. There are so many facets of what makes us who we are, and how we love is one of the most important ones. 

Muz and La. Two eccentric characters who brought humor and heart to this story. Henry's friends moved the story in the direction it needed to go in, while at the same time, showing you other stages of teenage love. They both went through good and bad stages of relationships during this story and it managed to put a normal feeling to it all.

Grace. There's so much I'd like to say about Grace but I honestly feel like her story is better learned about from the narrative itself. To let her speak for herself.

Sadie. She's a side character, sure, but her conversation at the end of this book warrants a mention here. The author's notes suggest that Sadie's character was based on a neuroscientist from Yeshiva University named Lucy Brown. Sadie's career (her adult one, not her stint as a teenage delinquent) lends so much to the end of this book.

In the end, it was the talks that got me. Talks about the science behind love. Of how our bodies are given back to the universe once we die. How sometimes, ghosts are more real than you think. 

Yeah. Much like Sutherland's A SEMI-DEFINITIVE LIST OF WORST NIGHTMARES, I'll be thinking about this one for a long time.

I really liked this book! It was chock full of pop culture stuff especially harry potter stuff made me laugh out loud. Henry stole my heart throughout the novel. I was not crazy invested in the romance but i love what happen to the characters. A very unique Ya romance
