Easily one of my favorite series of all time, and the first one is absolutely awesome. The world building is incredible, the way the author brings together so many cultures and beliefs and weaves them into an exciting supernatural world filled with demons and angels and vampires and hunters.

I must admit - although I love the series, this book is the hardest one to get through with all of the info - and less action. But I still love Damali and Carlos. I also love the religious aspects and scifi intermixed. I'm moving on to The Awakening and I am more than looking forward to it.
