Hate to love, slow burn, damaged hero, and a beautiful romance on top of it!! This book checks all my favorite boxes, and with Brittainy C. Cherry's ability to always tap into that emotional and vulnerable part of me with her broken characters and her beautiful writing there was no way I wasn't going to like this story. It took me a while to fall for Shay & Landon's relationship but once I did I fell hard. I love them so much!! Especially, Landon that beautifully broken boy touched my heart so much. I can't wait to read book 2.

The End of Part One of Landon & Shay 🖤❤️

At first reading this my mind was running wild because I thought reading this is like I’m back to 2019 when I’m reading After Series. At the first few chapters I was comparing every similarities I can find between storyline and characters but as I go deeper I know both story has different specialties and really amazing in different way. 

I’m glad I didn’t give up halfway though. 

I really love Landon character, the struggle with his sadness and depression really bring out his character and I can actually feel it in me. The sadness. The loneliness. And behind every rain there will comes rainbows and that’s where Shay come as a knight in shining armor she is. The savior. The lights. 

It was a nice storyline. I love every bit of it. And I’m going to continue my journey to Part Two. 

For those who’s looking for Enemy to Lover this is highly recommended ❤️🖤

‘How’s your heart?’ ‘Still beating.’

Well this was a massive disappointment as this was one of my highly anticipated reads. Landon & Shay: Part One follows Landon and Shay who hate each other but become embroiled in a bet to see who can make the other fall in love first. The main issues with this book is the lack of connect for the relationship between the main characters. The writing for them and the dialogues just fell flat and the way the antagonist, Monica was so ridiculous that it just made it worse.

I've heard a lot of hype for this book from Booktubers and others on Instagram, and I was not disappointed. I enjoyed reading and slowly watching these characters fall for each other. There are a lot of toxic relationships within this book, mentions of suicide, depression, and alcohol/drug abuse. So this book got pretty heavy, but I really enjoyed it. If you don't shy away from those topics and want to read a romance I would recommend it. I will also admit that this book has the characters set in high school, so I know some individuals don't like reading from that age group. I would classify this as New Adult. Overall, I enjoyed it and will be picking up part 2 soon!
