A very interesting read.

I could have done with some more action, but I think there will be more of that in book 2.

Anyways, yes, I am checking out book 2. The library is busy getting it to me.

Predictable, and simple, but actually I could not put it down. The idea of exploring a supernatural apocalypse from the point of view of an Amish community already detached from news and protection and governance of the outside world was riveting. This book is probably YA; as I said, the plot is pretty straightforward and the characters are simply crafted, but the premise kept me engaged the whole way through. Random details about Amish life plus the gore and terror of a vampire infestation? I don't know, but it's pretty cool.
