I reread this book just today when I couldn't fall asleep. It's a strange book. I read it first when I was in 6th grade, and I loved Emma-Jean Lazarus and her quirky personality. Reading it again as an older teen, she bugged me a little bit. Don't get me wrong, this book is very cute and fun and I love Emma-Jean. The proper way she said everything and her inability to understand certain things made me cringe a little. 

I don't necessarily think of that as a bad thing. I think it was meant to be a little cringey and I like it like that. 

Still, this was a good book, and I recommend it to everyone 12 and older. :)
