Gotta be honest, I was never going to pick up More Home Cooking if it wasn't for Book Riot's Read Harder Challenge, but I really liked it. She's very funny (Jet Lag and How to Feed It, had me laughing out loud), honest, down to earth and relatable. The book almost feels like it was written last year, for its championing of local grown foods, concerns about the planet, capitalism, feminism, etc.I usually don't care for the recipes in these kinds of books, but I'm actually looking forward to trying some here. Her careful explanations combined with the flexibility of each recipe, assure me, it's going to be easy and taste good no matter what.Overall, a really fun read!
