Something about this one just didn't grab me. The beginning was cute, the family interactions weren't horrible, but Meier has really moved away from having Lucy jump headfirst into investigating, and it's led to some weird blend of mystery being "solved" through gossip and issues that home driving the plot forward. It just doesn't ring fictional enough to me.

I'm wondering if, after so many books, Meier is feeling disconnected with Lucy and her story. Still a cute installment, I just didn't sit down and want to read it in one sitting.
