“How do you know I’m mad?” said Alice.

“You must be,” said the Cat, “or you wouldn’t have come here.”

Alice didn’t think that proved it at all; however, she went on: “And how do you know that you’re mad?”

“To begin with,” said the Cat, “a dog’s not mad. You grant that?”

“Well then,” the Cat went on, “you see, a dog growls when it’s angry, and wags its tail when it’s pleased. Now I growl when I’m pleased, and wag my tail when I’m angry. Therefore I’m mad.”

moc se mi to líbí, samozřejmě, ale dávám tomu 4/5, protože si myslím, že ty filmy jsou asi o špetku lepší v tom směru, že dokážeme Wonderland vidět. v knize je popsaný, ale přeci jen se nedá představit tak, jako když ho člověk vidí ve filmu. takže film tomu příběhu dodal ještě větší kouzlo.
ale ty ilustrace byly nádherné, a svět, který Carroll dokázal vymyslet, taky.

Read for my 'Acceptable' N.E.W.T in Care of Magical Creatures 2019 #magicalreadathon. Prompt - Read a book that starts with an 'A'. Career choice - Ministry of Magic, Department of Mysteries Worker. Contains both Alice in Wonderland and Though the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There. Even at 25, every time I stumble across a rabbit hole in the woods it always takes me back to the thought of Wonderland.

Virginia Woolf wrote the following words to describe Lewis Carroll and his writing in her essay titled "Lewis Carroll":
