I really thought I had a better memory than this. It appears that ten years or so is all it takes for me to forget an average book. I had no inkling of memory of the events in this book as I read. Perhaps I read it too quickly the first time around/

That being said, I enjoyed this book but thought that it was fairly obvious. Park does bring up deep issues for young readers to contemplate in a manner appropriate to the age of the targeted readers. I understand why so many people recommend this book for young readers.
