Do you ever read a book where you don’t know what to expect but what does happen also doesn’t add up in your brain? That was me with this book 
I loved the idea of bringing in Celtic mythology of Avalon into appleton and when I first started reading it it was so interesting from the first characters storyline. Then it started being told from others points of view and it very quickly got quite tricky to follow and I felt the person who I had connected with as a reader in the first chapter, had become lost in all the other voices and storylines with their ending not feeling as complete as the others. 
The basis and idea of this book was really lovely but I will admit I didn’t connect with it as much as I first thought I would’ve from reading the blurb. It all felt a little surreal to me.
