I enjoyed this book a lot. While Ehlert's biography wasn't particularly interesting to me, her writings about her artistic process are. I liked that she wrote this book the way she writes her other books for children, with clear, big lettering, and colorful collages. Ehlert also incorporated a bunch of cameos from her books in the biography, and it was fun to see images from Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and Leaf Man (to name a few). I liked the cute asides she wrote in the margins on how to use paper scraps to make other crafts, like jewelry and masks. 

A lot of children's authors write biographies that are aimed towards adults (My 11 year old self was not prepared when I read Beverly Cleary's A Girl from Yamhill and had to hear her thoughts about her weird religious college boyfriends), but this one is comfortably, delightfully for children.
