Several times I almost stopped reading this book until I got so deep into it that I decided to finish it. I'm ok with stories about the rougher side of life, but this was so over the top that I just couldn't feel for any character. And then the way it tied up so tidy was unbelievable. 

If reading about incest, violence, drugs, prostitution,witchcraft, multiple deaths and killings, all by people that for the most part are very unlikable, doesn't depress you, then this is the book for you. I really wanted to feel sympathy for the people and the situation they found themselves in, but I never really did - except Ophelia. At least it was a quick read but no way would I recommend this one. There's too many good books out there.
