Katelyn is confused, emotional and facing a nasty homicidal maniac who decides that she's poking her nose in where it doesn't belong! 

John ran from his past and found solace and acceptance with Katelyn dad as his mentor. He thinks that maybe Katelyn is ungrateful and doesn't realise the sacrifices her father made for her. But as the suspense cranks up he realises that maybe she got sent away to keep her safe. 
 
Wonderful small town setting but with a smorgasbord of intriguing characters. There is real emotion in the dealing between Kate and her father and is failing health. I just got sucked into the world of Evers and never wanted to leave!!! With twists and turns to keep you guessing, the romance never gets in the way of an explosive and very well written suspense!!!
