I honestly didn't really like this book and the only reason its getting two stars is because I kind of like Jax's character and how he was portrayed. A lot of the other characters either seemed too stereotypical or unrealistic, and they weren't fun characters to read about. My main complaint of this story is the character development. We end the book in the exact same place as we start it, and the whole book just seemed a little bit pointless like it could be summed up in a prologue to the second book or something of the sort? As well, when I was reading this book while I didn't want to put it down, it was more so because I wanted to know the answers to the main question about Wendy and her capabilities (the book did want to keep me reading for that) but it wasn't enough to keep me reading after I finished the book and didn't get any answers.
