4.6/5. i am absolutely flabbergasted. this book literally gave me whiplash, it was one thing right after another. and nobody wanted to warn me that this was gonna be sad? not sad enough to make me cry but definitely enough to hurt my heart so thank you for that.

The plot twists are unexpected, and i love the banters between the lead characters

I just want to say that I loved this book. Every page was written with so much emotion, you could feel the pain, the hatred, the hopelessness and the need word after word.

I started this book not knowing much, just about a dead sister, an arranged marriage, and hate, lots of hate. I was quite shocked about Julianna's appearance and damage both physically and mentally. That just helped me have more faith in the depth and development of it. AND LYLAH DIDN'T DISAPPOINT ME.

In the first chapters I felt so much empathy and pity for Jules. I could feel her pain, her sorrow, and her self-loathing. It was so painful to read. I just wanted to hold her and protect her from the world ESPECIALLY Killian.

Oh Killian, he's quite a topic. I had never read such a evil character. I hated him, I despised him, and at the same time; I loved him. I could honestly sometimes believe how evil he was with Juls. The first time he called her "Beasty" I wanted to slap him.

I understood him at some point. I understood both of them, and that twist, wow.

I have no words to explain how much I liked that twist, and this book in general. Killian and Julianna have become in some of my favorite characters.

i fucking love lylah's books. this was so good and those plot twists. wow. this book was so painful and that ending was 100% deserved. this book is so underrated and deserves more attention.
