Fall I Want

There are some major spoilers ahead if you haven't read this book ..

I struggled with whether to give this two or three stars, because I genuinely enjoyed the first 200 pages of this book and the direction it was headed in, despite the insta love which is not usually a favorite of mine.

I feel like there was SO MUCH going on. The FMC can see auras apparently but that's mentioned once or twice and never again. There are some witchy vibes in the beginning that quickly evaporated, and the MMC's sister is clairvoyant. Not to mention the connections between everyone and their exes, the fact that the FMC has been dreaming about the MMC for decades (he was astral projecting? mentioned 1x). It just felt like the backstories were very busy and a lot of the dialogue was recycled.

At the 200 page mark, be prepared for the rest of the book to be spice. A lot of spice, in moments and locations that don't make sense. 

The ending seemed like it would set up a second book, and this is a series, but each book is written by a different author and is their Cozy Creek creation. It would have been cool for there to be some sort of collaboration where each author took a couple from the town and wrote their story. (I haven't read any of the others, but am wondering if they feel a bit disjointed). 

I did really enjoy the Hollow Manor location and backstory, as well as the touching moments about Zane's mom and the letters she left for him. 

I wanted to love this one so badly, it had the fall vibes I was looking for, but there were just some things that really irked me.
