Selected Papers from the Fifteenth New Hampshire Symposium on the German Democratic Republic

The papers collected in this volume were read at a symposium, held in June 1989, and deal with literature, politics and sociology, documenting a crucial time in the history of the GDR. Some of the articles have been revised to reflect the changes that took place that spring and summer.
