Sally’s Lament

Only the second out of the Twisted Tale series I have read and I really enjoyed the book. But it is not my favorite Nightmare before Christmas retelling so that’s why I gave it 4.5⭐️ The interpretation of Christmastown from Sally’s perspective was very cute and this book is a great read for a Disney lover. Great messages for the younger kids that read these stories as well. Overall a great read!

Not my favorite in this series, and it falls into the category of A Twisted Tale books that are so slow for the first half and then pick up at the end. Even if it's slow in the beginning, I love the layers added to Sally and Christmas Town, and I love her interactions with Jack. It's well-written, and does one of my favorite movies justice!!
