Presents interviews conducted by Doerry with 24 Holocaust survivors, some of them well-known (e.g. Aharon Appelfeld, Edgar Hilsenrath, Ruth Klüger, Inge Deutschkron, Imre Kertész, Ralph Giordano, Elie Wiesel, Saul Friedländer), accompanied by a full-page portrait of each one and additional photographs. Inter alia, they relate their feelings and experiences during the Holocaust period, and their later views on Nazism and the Holocaust.
