This series of musings, chats and pictures strung together into 'what we call a book, Jones' was the reading equivalent of easy listening, which is sometimes exactly what you need from a book. 

I probably would have enjoyed this more if I were a Hockney fangirl, but it's interesting enough if you're into the arts in general and the visual arts in particular.
