Bright Boy
Bright Boy is a one-act play for four males. Haddleton is in Munich on an important business project, which he has every hope of bringing to a successful conclusion with his German associate, Dietl. At the hotel bar he is accosted by another Englishman, Grey, who claims to know him. It transpires that the two men were at school together. Before long it becomes apparent that Grey has a more sinister purpose than schoolboy reminiscences. Gradually he undermines Haddleton's selfconfidence, and by the end of the play has wreaked a subtle vengeance for the terrible treatment he received at his hands as a boy.
