A collection of over 60 prose poems, from the 18th century on, some translated from French, German, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, and other languages, from authors as diverse as William Blake, Gertrude Stein, Mizumo Yōshū, Sherwood Anderson, and Daniil Kharms, Laura Riding, Rubén Darió, and, of course, Baudelaire and Malarmé.
