It reminded me of the Immortal Snail Theory. That no matter how long you run away from grief, it will always catch up to you. And when that happens, you'll have no choice but to deal with it.

It's a good read despite being confusing at first. I guess that's part of the mystery of the little town. Everyone has a secret, and sometimes it's better to stay ignorant about the details of it.

It shouldn’t haven’t taken me a week to finish such a short book, but it was overwhelmingly depressing.

I thought the premise of the book sounded much more interesting than its execution. I was expecting something more ominous and creepy, based off the blurb.

That being said, it’s an interesting examination of grief and how it can seep into every part of your life.
