Sweet return to childhood. As Betsy and Tacy and Tib race through Deep Valley making up games and mischief, I suddenly remember that my childhood, though much farther in time from theirs than from my own children's, was so similar. My children never had the freedom of running totally free, and I've always wished they could have it, but never more so than tonight as I finish this lovely book!

I originally read this back in 2014 and enjoyed the entire series. I wanted to revisit Hill Street and the adventures of Betsy, Tacy, and Tib. The stories are just an enjoyable as I remember them. I would for sure recommend this series for a read aloud with parents or a family read along.
