, the first book in this <a href="http://www.goodreads.com/series/87611-breathless" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Breathless trilogy</a>, I was immensely curious about Jace and Ash. They had this thing going on where they only slept with the same woman at the same time, and I must admit I was really excited to see how this would play out in this book, which is about Jace. Soon after starting Fever I realized their relationship wouldn’t be something we explored. Womp womp. Still, I was interested enough in Jace alone to find out more about him. But it turns out that I wasn’t wooed by him either. And even though we find out a lot about Bethany’s past and her struggles, I never really felt like I knew who she was. It really felt like her whole identity revolved around what Jace wanted her to be. I’ve come to realized while reading this that I do not enjoy these type of males. If they’re dominant in the bedroom, I can get on board with it...but if they try to control the woman, from who she sees and talks to, what she can and cannot wear, or where she can and cannot go? Oh, HELL no. Jace spoke of being this type of person to Bethany. He told her that’s the kind of relationship they would have...but in the end, he never really followed through with any of those demands, other than when it was about her safety. I was so glad and it made me not hate Jace in the end. Would I call him my next book boyfriend? Eh, probably not. I did like that there was more emotion and romance in this book than in 
 <a href="http://gonewiththewords.com/2013/03/18/review-rush-by-maya-banks/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Rush</a>
. Jace and Bethany definitely brought on the dramatics, but they also had really sweet moments. And Maya Banks’ writing is, as always, great. While this may not be my favorite series of hers, I will continue on to the last book in this trilogy,

I enjoyed Fever so much more than Rush. Gabe was perfect but Jace was above and beyond him. He was cuter and I felt sorry for him because he just didn't know how a person in love is supposed to act, which I think excuses his absolutely insane obsessiveness towards Bethany. I enjoyed this story a lot more than the previous book and it's got me looking forward to third. 
After reading the previous books about Gabe and Jace, Ash somehow just became my favourite without the books really emphasising him. So having a whole book about him next is super exciting! #TeamAsh

Lover of Romance 

Fever is Jace’s story and I can’t say which book I actually loved MORE….I think I liked both Rush and Fever the same but in different ways of course. In Fever, its Jace’s story. And boy was his book good although it does feature a menage scene in the very beginning. And it was quite interesting in seeing how this author writes it. We also see some tension build between Jace and Ash. They are closer than brothers and always share their women…but now Jace is conflicted because he is jealous of Ash even coming close to his woman. So we see how he becomes so divided. the heroine in this book is fabulous and unique in what her circumstances are….just shows the beauty in everyone being deserving of a HEA!
