I love Melina Marchetta, she brings characters to life like no one else does. 

The Piper's Son is the companion book to Saving Francesca, there is not need to actually read one to understand the other, but believe when I say they are BOTH worth reading. 

I can't even describe how good this book was. Thomas has definitely grown and he is going through a lot of issues. And I loved that this book wasn't just about Tom, but about his aunt as well. 

There is so much anger & fear going on in this book, but it's about family & what happens when a terrible tragedy happens. 

Anyway, I LOVED this book. LOVED it. EVERYONE should read it.

You know what I love about Melina Marchetta?

She can make you care about her characters. Her every characters not only the main characters. Also I don't really know how she did it but her writing style was just so.. I don't know. It really speaks to me. I love Melina so much.

Thomas Finch Mackee. Oh god. I love this boy. He deserves happiness. And the friends he had. I love this boy so much. He's one of Francesca's friends from Saving Francesca. I really love how the characters from her other novels appeared in this one. It was so amazing I was so giddy when they were interacting. I really really crave the friendships in Marchetta's novels.

After reading this book I teared up because that's what her book will do to you trust me, I will never forget how I sobbed so hard in Jellicoe Road. This is the thing with her book. It will leave you some nostalgic feeling and a lesson and something that will stay on you for a long time.

And Melina Marchetta breaks my heart again. I literally cried at least once in every single chapter, I swear. Bravo. I want to reach out and hug Tom Mackee and the gang I've come to know so well. Also, I need more Jimmy Hailler in my life.

This brilliant book by the amazing author, Melina Marchetta, is one of the best books to read. The characters in this one and in 'Saving Francesca' are truly amazing. They feel like real people to me. Everything about them and their families are relatable and perfect. Their stories and whatnot are interesting and worth reading. 

I just wish that I could forget I had read it, so I could go back and read it all over again. Truly one of the best books written. I would defiantly recommend this book to anybody that loves reading!
