The Princess Poliachinsky is 90 years old, admits to 75, and is imperious, outspoken and strangley preoccupied with death. Her greatest pleasure in life is attending the funerals of friends and contemporaries whom she has outlived, and she is not above helping to expedite their encounters with the grim reaper.
