Lover of Romance 

I was really pulled into this story and it was so different than the other books that I have read from this author, it had such a more easy-going feel to the romance. Even though this is an assassin type of romance, I really loved this one. I liked how strong their connection was to each other and that the heroine was a girl next door type and had such a fun time seeing this big badass alpha male be at such a loss in how to deal with a woman like this. He was so out of his element, and while he makes mistakes along the way, I loved how devoted he is to her. He has such fierce protectiveness towards her that I found so endearing. This one while not my favorite installment of the series, was such a solid win and I had a blast with it, and am eager to move along with more of this author's backlist.

What makes this book different from all other books in the St. Monarch academy series is how Ariana, our ML, is completely unaware about the lifestyle of Mafia world and the shock that comes up with learning about the reality of such world and coming to terms with the reality. I love that we finally finally .. get to see more of MJ from book 1. 

There is a scene where the ML is beaten up badly in the book (obviously not by ML, its the bad guys) so read accordingly if its a trigger for any of you!
