Kendall is still reeling from the loss of his fiancee to his brother Ax. His brain understands that the Hunger hit them and they really had no choice but his heart is still catching up! He is keeping a distance between himself and his pack so his Beta takes things into his own hands and engineers a visit to another pack in Hawaii for Kendall!

Juliette is a female Alpha, a rarity to be sure. She fought and clawed her way to the top and got rid of the sleazy previous Alpha. When she meets Kendall in the forest whilst he is fighting the hunger, they end up mating but how do the sort out their new life together, there are are 1000s of miles between their packs and both are Alphas!

Juliette also has to contend with an Alpha she knows is "dating" underage she-wolves and she has a couple of unruly teenagers who need to be dealt with! 

I loved that Juliette did have options. A certain sheriff could have been a possible mate and she certainly felt a pull to him but when the Hunger strikes, there really is no getting out of it. I loved how at no point Kendall made Juliette feel less than Alpha and backed her up, even when it went against his very strong Alpha tendencies. I'm still not sure how those damn teenagers didn't succumb to Juliette's Alpha, maybe something to do with rampant hormones????
