Emily and Sloane have always been best friends. Right before what should have been the best summer of their lives, Sloane simply disappears. The only thing left behind is a to-do list. On it, Emily finds 13 tasks she would never think of doing, but, perhaps if she does them, her friend would come back. Picking apples at night and dancing until dawn are okay, but kissing a stranger and skinny dipping? Emily finds help with the list in an unexpected way.
