2.5! The premise of this book was right up my alley (a crossdressing heroine posing as a highwayman that holds up a fop/soldier hero? Yes, please!), so I went in expecting to love this. Unfortunately, I did not. I didn't hate it enough to DNF, so I pushed through until the end, albeit not too enthusiastically. 

I think part of the problem was that I did not care for the narrator of the audiobook. She sounded too sweet and it felt like having explicit sex scenes read to me by my loving grandmother. Kinda pulls you out of the mood, y'know?

Another takeaway from this book was how horribly the heroine was treated and abused by all of the men in her life. I am very grateful not to be a female born in that era! The poor, poor heroine...
