           This was a fun, sweet story about two people finding a second chance for love later in life. I really appreciated grown main characters who acted their age and had the baggage that accompanies that.

I found the set up of the third act break up to be very obvious and predictable, but I liked the way the author handled it rather quickly and didn't draw the separation out too long.

*Mild spoiler ahead*

My biggest complaint about this book is the epilogue. Not every book needs a proposal or wedding to end it off. Having a man publicly propose to another woman at the launch party for the new charity he has started in remembrance of his dead wife and son seemed really, REALLY out of place. It was creepy and knocked this book down from a tentative 4 🌟 rating to a 3.5 🌟 that will wind up as 3 stars on Goodreads.
