Trying to figure out what did not work for me in this novel and I guess it was just it as a whole. Perhaps I wish there was just a little more to the characters, for it to get a little more psychological, while also delivering a little more on the thriller side.

I don't personally like how this story goes. The overconfident, proud murderer having the sense of superiority over killing his mom and goes around controlling four high school girls who have completely different personalities each of them, just seems like a very young adult genre, with cliches and those typical kind of sense in this book. The way all of the characters solving the problems are too shallow and short minded; however can't be totally blamed given that all of them are still high schoolers. The way the story goes; the different pov of each of them, I just can't have the excitement over the seemingly thriller. One story short, it just doesn't blow my mind. It is a matter of personal interest and honestly it's just the way I am unable to feel excitement within each page. Nonetheless, Natsuo Kirino did a great job in creating the plot of the story; even though I was completely broken by my expectation.
