Firestorm

Caught in a firestorm in Lassen Volcanic National Park, Anna Pigeon, her patient, and the fire fighters survive, except for one who is found in his fire shelter with a knife in his back. Anna must attend to the physical and emotional needs of the survivors and identify the murderer, while snow delays their rescue.
